Route 6 Auto Mall/Kia's Terra makes numbers work for happy customers

September 24, 2008

Swansea

See it. Want it. Make a deal for it.
Now, pay for it.
To do the fourth thing on that short list, go to Route 6 Auto Mall/Kia at 1049 GAR Highway and, after you’ve found the vehicle you want, make sure you see Roy Terra.
Terra is the finance manager, and he’ll help you pay less for the vehicle that you want so much. With a lot of years in the business and a variety of financing options at his fingertips, Terra can help you drive off in your dream ride.
Terra’s been working here for six years, long enough to get to know many of the repeat customers whose loyalty is the backbone of this dealership.
For quite awhile, Route 6 Auto Mall was solely a used car dealer and doing quite well. This year, it branched out into new cars, becoming a Kia dealer.
“It was a very big step for us,” Terra said, adding that the Kia brand is going very well.
Terra’s job is to get you into that vehicle you want.
“Basically, I sit down with the customer, do the applications, the paperwork,” Terra said.
“I talk over the payment options, get the approvals,” he said.
Terra said there are a variety of options for every buyer in search of financing.
“We have seven lenders we work with,” Terra said
“We do prime and subprime lending. We work with people who have had bankruptcies, repo’s,” he said. “As long as they have a job.”
Right now, Terra said there are lots of financial angles that might draw you in to Route 6 Auto Mall and Kia.
“We’ve got rebates on Kia up to $6,000,” he said.
“We’ve got a competitive program,” Terra said. “If you own another make of vehicle and you trade it in for a Kia, there’s extra incentives.”
Kia offers a good variety of models, too, from cars to SUVs.
“They’ve got the Borrego and the Rondo in the SUV class,” Terra said. “The Rondo is the more compact SUV.”
While Kia is an exciting new development for this dealership, they haven’t forgotten the used car business.
“We’ve got a really great selection of pre-owned vehicles, BMWs, Fords, everything,” Terra said.
He said the dealership works hard to keep a large variety of vehicles on the lot, and customers can always find the vehicle they want.
The large lot makes it easy to roam around and examine a great selection of cars and trucks before making your choice.
Vehicles are priced to sell, and good deals are always waiting.
For Terra, the job’s fun comes after the initial sale.
“That’s what I like best about the job,” he said. “I like dealing with people. I like making it happen for them.”

Grand Opening

Tuesday September 30, 2008

Swansea - The Route 6 Automall will unveil its new line of Kias this Friday at a grand opening celebration from 6 to 9 p.m.
So far, the new cars have sold well, said General Manager Mark Franco, adding that he expects that trend to continue despite the troubled economy.
After more than five years as a successful used car dealer and full-service station, Franco said the decision to sell Kias at the popular used car spot was an easy one.
“The biggest thing is the price point and the gas mileage. You can get a new Kia for $9,995, with a 10-year, 100,000 mile warranty,” said Franco. “It’s an excellent quality car. They have cars like the Kia Rio, (a sedan) that can get up to 41 miles to the gallon. We have a wide selection for the first-time car buyer to the experienced one that may be looking for the $38,000 Borrego (sporty SUV).”
Franco pointed to Kia's dozen or so recent awards including the “Best bang for the buck” for the Kia Spectra, the “Top ten most fuel efficient” in the Kia Rio and the five star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the mid-sized sedan the Optima, the SUV Sportage, the minivan Sedona and the mid-sized SUV the Sorrento.
Franco said it didn’t take that much to bring in the Kias because they already had space for 500 cars on the near 3-acre lot as well as hundreds more vehicles off site. He said the new line would give customers a larger selection from which to choose.
“It can only help us,” Franco said of the new car selection.
Along with owner Jose Adao and the rest of the Route 6 Automall Kia dealership, residents are welcome to attend Friday's grand opening Kia celebration. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.
