New Car Experience at Route 6 Auto Mall Kia

Knowing that we live in "Toddlerville" with our 2 and 3 year old boys. Space, comfort, price and service are all key for a frugal family . We were trading in a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. We value service and also the fact that we will have information provided to us from a company we make a car purchase with. We were not only NOT getting quality service from Dodge but we never found out about 3 service recalls. We knew we wanted a van. We knew that $30,000 to $40,000 for other brands was not going to give us the payment we wanted. We wanted to look at a Kia Sedona as it is $10,000 cheaper than most vans. Gives you all the same bells and whistles with the price we were looking for.
Being frugal Mr. Fuggs and Foach and I searched at least 5 dealers called 2 of them and emailed 3 of them as well. When we came to Route 6 Auto Mall KIA we knew they were not trying to just get us in the door for a bait and switch. Or tell use "OHHHH that deal is not available for you." I called last Saturday to Route 6 Auto Mall KIA and spoke to Ian. I explained our needs, wants and how we would be trading in a van. I also explained I don't have a ton of time I have 2 toddlers and would need a sitter to buy a car. I also asked him about the other ads I had seen. He was very clear those ads were not something he could match because they " stacked" (YES like coupon stacking) incentives together which not everyone qualifies for. His honest and willingness to work with us in our price range and honor his quote he sent us online made us want to work with Route 6 Auto Mall KIA
So after a week more of research about the Kia Sedona we were even more sold on the idea of the safety, quality and services Kia offers. Even down to the FREE YEARLY car detailing. We knew they were calling us from "Toddlerville" to give them that challenge.
Saturday, March 17th St. Patrick's Day and Mr. Fuggs and Foach's and my wedding anniversary we set out for a LUCKY DEAL with a Route 6 Auto Mall KIA WITHOUT the toddlers (thanks Meme and Pops Fuggs and Foach)
We arrive at 9:45 am. We are greeted by Robbie, we explain we had been talking to Ian Perry. Ian came right over and said " you know what you want here are the keys. Robbie will be helping you. " Great start no dragging things out and right to the test drive.
Robbie drove over the White Kia Sedona with power sliding doors seating for 7. The first thing we noticed was how great Robbie was explaining the car without going over the top or dumbing it down. Mr. Fuggs and Foach and I headed out on our drive alone. We wanted to make sure that though I drive around town we had a good highway drive because we do tend to have family road trips and vacations we will be taking the van with.
Within less than 100 feet. I knew this was the car for me. GREAT pick up smooth ride and great turning radius for a van. About 10 min of city driving we hit the highway. The ride was smooth and calm. Great control on the highway and changed lanes with great ease. The blind spots are the car were minor and made it very easy to use the car.
We arrive back to the dealer and we knew we wanted this car. The question remained did Route 6 Auto Mall KIA want us to have this car. We sat down with Robbie he explained the trade worth, we were pleased with this amount seeing we didn't hid from them our concerns with the Dodge. We showed Robbie the car quote we had gotten from Ian. He then walked away to get some numbers for us. With in 5 min he came back. The numbers were right in the range we wanted but we explained we wanted a better breakdown of the trade car cost and taxes. Robbie walked away a second time. He came back with the whole break down and the price for the monthly payment was in our HIGH range of what we wanted but were settled understanding the incentives and cost of the car with taxes. Robbie also explained being a father of 2 he loves this car. He knows how much it is going fit our family. He also told us we could come back whenever we were ready install the DVD player we were going to get with the money we saved with the price we were getting they would give us that as they had quoted.
The deal was done. Robbie shook our hand and explained he would get the car ready we would head into Finance with Roy. We had to wait about 10 min for him to set up our paperwork.
While waiting a woman was there getting her car serviced she explained she loved Route 6 Auto Mall KIA not only was this her 3rd KIA in 10 years. One time she was due to be somewhere her car broke down they gave her the loaner car for 2 days so she could make it to her trip. She stated "You know a dealership is more than just a deal when service is just as great as the car dealers you work with. " As a mom of 2 and a frugal finder. This was the service we were wanting to have. Since our last place of service was horrible.
Robbie called us in and introduced Roy. Roy came right out and said we could save you $10.00 a month UNDER what we were quotes. Mr. Fuggs and Foach look at each other and say sure right what is the catch?? He explained because our credit was good and we did qualify for some incentives he was not going to set us into the interest rate they had thought we would be in ? He told us we would qualify for a APR 1 point lower. This means over a $500 savings over the life of the loan. That would mean a lower monthly rate and more savings. MOST dealer would NOT have even mentioned it and KEPT the money.. HONEST was proven to be a key point of their service. After signing papers we were ready to go.
Robbie then greeted us with the keys to a NEW KIA SEDONA and a quick overview of the car. We drove off not only happy but trusting Route 6 Auto Mall KIA was a great choice for our cars and our "Toddlerville" family.
As a time reference we left at 12:15pm.. This was the BEST 2 hours and 30 min ever .. Far less than we have ever spent in a dealership. Keep in mind 30 min of that was our test drive.. 2 hours in and out of a dealer is unheard of but Route 6 Auto Mall KIA 1049 GAR Highway Swansea, Ma did that for us.
